The ALS Group To Make Important Healthcare Reform Presentation To JAHMA

December 2nd Event Will Address How Legislation Will Impact Businesses

2010-11-13
EDISON, NJ, November 13, 2010 (Press-News.org) The ALS Group, an independent insurance and risk management and advisory firm, will host a special presentation entitled "The Business Impact of Healthcare Reform - Watch Your Wallet" for the not for profit New Jersey Affordable Housing Management Association and its members, Thursday, December 2nd, at the Woodbridge Renaissance Hotel in Iselin, N.J.

The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, with a cost of $45 for JAHMA members and $55 for non-members.

"We're thrilled The ALS Group has committed to offering such a valuable and topical presentation to our membership," said JoAnn McKay, Executive Director of JAHMA. "With healthcare reform currently being in such a state of flux, how it impacts businesses is paramount to making sound fiscal decisions. This event will truly help attendees in this process."

"The Business Impact of Healthcare Reform - Watch Your Wallet" will address this massive piece of legislation that will continue to unfold over the next eight years. Its complex provisions have proven to be difficult to interpret, and the financial impact on small businesses is uncertain. Lead speaker will be Joseph Zurica from The ALS Group who holds a Masters in Public Health degree in health policy and management from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. His background and experience dealing with health care policy and patient care in both a domestic and international setting position him as an ideal presenter for the topic.

"This presentation will identify the critical initiatives that require tax and regulatory compliance, and outline how the implementation of the new healthcare law will financially affect businesses," added Albert Sica, Managing Principal of The ALS Group. "We're honored to have the JAHMA membership as a forum for this most important issue.
