Band Together NC and Mended Heart Records Finalize Lineup for Compilation CD
Compilation CD to Benefit Local Charity
RALEIGH, NC, November 13, 2010
Band Together NC, a Triangle-based organization whose mission is to raise funds and awareness for select charities through events that showcase and support musical talent, and Mended Heart Records, an Asheville-based recording label, have announced the final 14-band lineup that will be featured on a compilation CD, the proceeds of which will go to benefit Band Together and its 2011 selected charity, Alliance Medical Ministry. The participating acts on this initial compilation CD represent the rich diversity of North Carolina's talent-rich musical scene. The CD will include exclusive music from Holy Ghost Tent Revival, The Mantras, Now You See Them, The Archrivals, The Ocean, Vertigo Jazz Project, Moses Atwood (w/ Michael Libramento), Dopapod, Agent 23, Taste, Uncle Mountain, Josh Blake's Juke Box, Woody Wood and Brushfire Stankgrass.
"Unlike most compilations, where tracks are chosen and pulled from unrelated releases, these artists will all be recording in the same studio for the same cause," said Matt Williams, founder of Mended Heart Records. "This is a very unique project, and we look forward to continuing this for years to come."
This past year, Mended Heart Records' founder Matt Williams was so inspired by his personal experience playing with Holy Ghost Tent Revival as a special guest at the 2010 Band Together live event, that he decided the organization was a perfect fit for the label's charitable work. In September 2010, Band Together and Mended Heart Records announced their new partnership.
"With the lineup now complete, we're looking forward to promoting the CD and generating sales that will go directly to help a great cause," said Danny Rosin, co-founder and president of Band Together NC. "The bands are really putting a lot into their recordings, and we feel thankful to everyone who has so generously donated their time and talents to make this venture a success for everyone involved."
Mended Heart is planning to offer pre-sale for the CD, with an announcement due out before the end of 2010.
