Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc, Phi Zeta Zeta Chapter (Queens, NY) Honors Community Leaders

Honoring Those Who Uplift the Community Through Mind, Body and Spirit

QUEENS, NY, March 03, 2014 (Press-News.org) The women of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Phi Zeta Zeta Chapter (Queens, NY) will host their Annual Finer Womanhood Scholarship Dinner Dance. The event will be held on March 21, 2014 from 8PM - 1AM at Antun's of Queens Village at 96-43 Springfield Boulevard, Queens Village, NY 11429

This year's theme "Honoring Those Who Uplift the Community Through Mind, Body and Spirit" falls in line with Zeta Phi Beta's national signature program - Z-HOPE (Zetas Helping Other People Excel). Phi Zeta Zeta Chapter has chosen honorees that have gone above and beyond the call of duty to provide service to the City of New York, especially in the borough of Queens. This dinner will serve as a meaningful way for the chapter to applaud the efforts of the honorees and as a reminder that there is still work to be done.

Phi Zeta Zeta chapter will also present high school seniors with college scholarships.

Tickets are $75.00 (Adults) and $65 for Undergraduate Members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Omicron Alpha Chapter.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded on the campus of Howard University on January 16, 1920. The Sorority's international program ZHOPE (Zetas Helping Other People Excel) through mind, body and spirit serves to empower people from all walks of life. Sorority members and auxiliary groups provide un-totaled hours of voluntary service and professional talent to educate the public, assist youth, enrich community outreach programs, and promote legislation for civic and social change. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. has over 800 chapters in the Continental United States, the Bahamas, Germany, Japan, Korea, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Sorority has a diverse membership of college-educated women representing various disciplines, industries and professions. Zeta Phi Beta's umbrella also includes auxiliary groups-Amicae, Archonettes, Amicettes and Pearlettes.

Phi Zeta Zeta Chapter was chartered on April 14, 2007. Over the past 4 years, the chapter has grown not only in size, but also in the depth of service provided to the Queens community. Phi Zeta Zeta currently has 36 active members that demonstrate leadership in various professional and personal endeavors. The chapter is part of the "Awesome" Atlantic Region comprised of chapters that spread across Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and the country of Germany.
