Bank of America Merrill Lynch provides banking and financial services to an international market. As vice president of infrastructure design and build, Mr. Shorman oversees a regional team of seven people and manages the department budget.
Mr. Shorman has 16 years of experience in infrastructure technology, including eight years as vice president of infrastructure for Bank of America Merrill Lynch. His other areas of expertise include trading systems, wealth management, Series 7 and equities. On a day-to-day basis, Mr. Shorman also manages recruiting and strategic design, and works with applications teams for infrastructure platforms and business requirements. Prior to joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Mr. Shorman worked with companies such as Credit Suisse Securities and UBS Securities.
Experienced in the financial services industry for several years, Mr. Shorman attributes his success to his ability to build a cohesive team, as well as his strategic planning abilities. He became involved in his profession because of his previous experiences.
Mr. Shorman is certified as an electronic technician from BCIT. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding and also maintains affiliation with RHCT. In the coming years, Mr. Shorman plans to do more traveling.
