WOLLONGONG, NSW, AUSTRALIA, March 5, 2014 (Press-News.org) Associate Professor Lindsay Oades has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in education and research.

Dr. Oades holds an MBA and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Wollongong, the college through which he now instructs. He is an associate professor and program director with an expertise for psychology and well-being. In addition to teaching university students, he serves as a senior researcher with both the Sydney Business School and Center for Health Initiative. Dr. Oades draws on a wealth of experience to conduct research and offer consulting based on applications of well-being.

In the past, he was a visiting researcher with Kings College London UK and an advisory board member of the Institute of Coaching at Harvard University. At the moment, Dr. Oades maintains affiliation with the Australian Institute of Company Directors, International Positive Psychology Association, and NSW Mental Health Commission. He is the co-editor of the International Journal of Well-Being as well.

A member of the professional community for nearly two decades, he has been honored for his work on a number of occasions. He was named the UOW Commerce and Business Alumni of the Year, an award given annually to a Commerce or Sydney Business School graduate demonstrating leadership, personal and professional academic success, innovation, creativity, and community spirit. Dr. Oades was honored by The Mental Health Services Conference with multiple Gold Achievement Awards and the Special Judges Award. Recently, he was inducted into Worldwide Branding.
