Dynamo Colors Enrich Brentano Line

Designers select vibrant, colorful textiles for the Discovery collection

2014-03-05
CHICAGO, IL, March 05, 2014 (Press-News.org) A leader in color design, Brentano's vibrant selections enrich the beautiful materials and striking patterns in the spring Discovery collection. Based on drawings and notes from Design Director Iris Wang's travel journals, their newest fabrics turn inspiring moments into colorful, practical textiles.

The 10 lively colors of Dynamo, a geometric pattern reminiscent of Wang's sketches of Chinese window lattice designs, spark interest for residential, hospitality and commercial projects alike. Alternating colors in the end and end polyester warp make a clear, crisp contrast between positive and negative space while rayon chenille yarns in the weft give the ten colorways their soft texture and depth. Grounded by practical features like a Teflon finish for stain resistance, 54" Dynamo has an impressive abrasion resistance of 70,000 double rubs (Wyzenbeek).

About Brentano:
Founded in 1990 by Design Director Iris Wang and her husband, President E-Kwan Chen, Brentano has grown from a modest beginning of eight patterns to an internationally represented textile house. Brentano's fabrics stem from Wang's philosophy of balancing beauty + performance. Their growing collection of eco-fabrics expands this ideology by demanding textiles meet thoroughly researched standards of environmental consciousness while maintaining their beauty. Having celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2010, Brentano continues to offer a variety of innovative and interesting textiles, including eco-friendly faux leather, high performance upholstery, fire-resistant, outdoor, Crypton, Nano-Tex and GreenShield fabrics.
