MIAMI, FL, March 06, 2014 (Press-News.org) Living Color Aquariums, the global industry leader in the design and manufacturing of iconic custom aquariums and themed exhibits, has teamed up with designers at Kona Grill (www.konagrill.com), to create unique custom aquarium exhibits for their locations across the United States.
Kona Grill has been in business for 15 years and has 26 contemporarily designed restaurants featuring dramatic interiors and high-end aquariums installed in every location, which are an integral trait of Kona Grill's restaurants. Kona Grill offers guests a diverse selection of freshly prepared food, personalized service and a warm contemporary atmosphere that keeps customers coming back.
"We at Kona Grill are pleased by the artistry on display by Living Color Aquarium's team of designers," said Sandie Grady, Kona Grill Development Coordinator. "Their innovative and modern custom aquarium exhibits are integral to the ambiance of each of our Kona Grill locations and have captured our patrons' imaginations."
Living Color Aquarium's continued contribution to helping create one-of-a-kind designs for Kona Grill's dynamic brand, led to the creation of a unique bow-front tank with a V-shaped cut out that allows for a full 360 degree inside view of the tank, at Kona's 25th location in Woodlands, Texas. Located just outside the private dining room and adjacent to the sushi bar, the aquarium's custom black and silver crystal inserts, along with its opalescent wispy grasses and rainbow of marine fish, engages patrons in a warm inviting ambience reminiscent of natural marine aquatic caves.
Breaking Kona Grill's records, their recently opened Fort Worth, Texas location includes the largest Living Color custom aquarium ever installed at any of Kona Grill's national restaurants! Measuring seven and a half feet tall by five-feet in diameter, this newly designed tank features dramatic Patina Bamboo poles with a river rock bed and vivid green river grasses. Situated at the popular West Seventh area at 3028 Crockett St, this location includes an exceptional rooftop deck with retractable ceiling to be used year-round.
Living Color Aquariums also had the privilege of installing a three and a half foot tall by six-feet in diameter custom aquarium, in Kona Grill's first ever restaurant. Open for 15 years, Kona's first restaurant is located in proximity to their corporate headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona's, Fashion Square Mall at 7014 East Camelback Road. The aquarium maintains a 360 degree view of exotic marine fish and features crystals of varying shapes and colors along with grass inserts.
Following the success of their custom aquarium habitat for Kona Grill's Boise, Idaho location, Living Color Aquariums developed a similarly themed exhibit for Kona Grill's newly remodeled San Antonio, Texas location. Celebrating the importance of custom aquariums as a Kona brand trademark, Living Color Aquariums fitted the seven-feet tall by five feet in diameter fish tank with an uncanny replica of the stone wall texture used throughout Kona Grill's restaurants, along with mesmerizing LED lights and incredibly lifelike artificial tree roots that extend throughout the aquarium, surrounded by colorful marine fish. The Boise, Idaho Kona Grill is located at 3573 East Longwing Lane and Kona Grill in San Antonio Texas is found at 15900 La Cantera Parkway.
Other projects still in the design phase include an original triangle-shaped tank, fitted with natural-looking root structures and marine grasses, to open on June 2014 at Kona Grill's El Paso, Texas location at 8889 Gateway Blvd. West.
