Cecil "Cec" Murphey to speak on "What it Takes to Make a Living as a Christian Writer before You're Famous" at the 29th Orange County Christian Writers Conference

New York Times Bestseller writer and author Cecil "Cec" Murphey will teach the Six Practical Ways to Make Money as a Christian Writer at the Orange County Christian Writers Conference on April 25th and 26th.

2014-03-09
SANTA ANA, CA, March 09, 2014 (Press-News.org) #OCCWC. @CecilMurphey. There are several reasons why people write, such as earning credibility, becoming famous, earning money and sharing a message. At the 2014 Orange County Christian Writers Conference on April 25 & 26, Cecil Murphey will discuss what it takes to make a living as a Christian writer. If there's any expert qualified to teach or speak on becoming a career writer, it's Cecil Murphey. The veteran author has written and co-written more than 135 books, including the New York Times bestseller 90 Minutes in Heaven (with Don Piper) and Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story (with Dr. Ben Carson). His books have sold millions in the marketplace and his pen has brought hope and encouragement to people around the world.

Cec, as he's known at conferences across the nation, wasn't always famous. He knows what life is like working as a struggling writer. According to Cec, about 2 percent of the people who write live off the income they earn while writing. During his afternoon lecture at the 2014 Orange County Christian Writers Conference held in Trinity Presbyterian Church in Santa Ana, he will share the reason why only 2 percent succeed. In addition, Cec will teach writers about the nuts and bolts of building a writing business.

"There are six practical ways to make money as a Christian writer before your book hits the New York Times bestseller list." Cec recently told the OC conference director, Antonio L. Crawford. "In my lecture, writers will learn what they can start doing now to make a lot of money and pursue the steps that are necessary to achieve best seller status." Cec Murphey will also present a keynote lecture early Saturday morning, and meet with conferees by appointment. Appointments for the conference speakers are available on a priority basis according to the date of conference registration.

The conference for writers and authors is filling up, fast. Register early to assure you can meet with the expert writers, authors, editors and agents of your choice. Featuring more than 30 workshops, two contests, an awards ceremony, critiques and consultations, the cost for the two-day conference is $227. The Orange County Christian Writers Conference has been in operation serving the needs of Christian writers in the greater Orange County area for over 29 years. Many of our conferees have experienced great publishing success. Get on board early. Learn the keys to writing and get published in 2014.
