ATLANTA, GA, March 12, 2014 (Press-News.org) Alex Membrillo, the Founder & CEO of Cardinal Web Solutions, a nationally ranked Atlanta Internet marketing agency, was honored to be selected as a session speaker at the American Marketing Association (AMA) Atlanta 2014 Annual Collegiate Conference. Discussing "Starting an Agency 101", Mr. Membrillo spoke from 10:15am - 11:45am on February 28. The conference was held at Biltmore Hotel in midtown Atlanta, GA.
The Annual AMA Atlanta Collegiate Conference & Job Fair is designed to help prepare young marketing professionals for a career in marketing. Topics covered at the conference included how to land your first job, how to identify what kind of position is right for you, and how to promote your positive qualities. Individuals who attended the conference were able to gain knowledge in critical areas of their careers.
In Membrillo's session on how to start an agency, he outlined his background and steps on what it takes to start a business. Membrillo, who started Cardinal Web Solutions in 2009 during the economic recession, explained to students about the many challenges he faced and overcame when founding his business. "My business partner and I launched Cardinal from two small desks in a living room. We would spend our days cold calling prospects and taking meetings in Starbucks," explained Membrillo. "To generate momentum, I built on the little things, like small sales and gains in industry knowledge. Eventually, smaller clients led to larger clients and big things began to happen," he shared. In 2013 Cardinal Web Solutions was ranked on The Agency 100 as the fastest growing agency in the Southeast.
