Massage Heights Expands Reach into Ohio Market

Area Developer plans to develop ten new Retreats over the next three years creating 350 new jobs and generating approximately $24 million dollars impact to local economy.

2014-03-12
SAN ANTONIO, TX, March 12, 2014 (Press-News.org) Massage Heights continues the aggressive growth of its franchise system with the announcement of David Demer with Demer Holdings Group, LLC joining the company as the Area Developer for Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland offers great opportunities for the Massage Heights business model; it has a strong, diversified economy; and is the corporate headquarters to many large businesses.

Demer is no stranger to this Midwest City; his first venture led him to a beauty industry franchise and with the success of his initial location he quickly became a successful multi-unit franchisee. "It's his proven track record in sales and his understanding that the key to success is customer service that will allow him to foster a culture of excellence with Massage Heights," says Bret Franson, Director of Franchise Development. "David Demer says it best, 'you gotta go to work, to make it work,' it's this work ethic that embodies the Massage Heights value."

"As a business owner, I really want to connect with my customers. The reality is with most businesses that opportunity isn't there. Massage Heights is a unique concept where you can personally connect with your customers. It truly is a partnership between us and the community," said Demer.

Medical research proves that regular therapeutic massage can help fight off disease and depression, boost immunity, relieve pain, increase alertness and improve sleep quality among other benefits. Approximately 35 million Americans receive a massage annually (source: AMTA 2014); Massage Heights makes this an affordable and convenient option for people from all walks of life to experience it regularly as part of a balanced health plan. Over the next three years, the Cleveland Retreats will touch approximately 450,000 lives through their therapeutic massage services.

Demer plans to develop ten Retreats in the Cleveland, Ohio area over the next three years which will create 350 new jobs and generate approximately $24 million dollars gross in economic impact to the local economy; his pilot Retreat is scheduled to open this Summer followed by the opening of three more Massage Heights body + face locations. This achievement comes not only as the company celebrates its 10th anniversary in April, 2014 but also follows a recent appearance by the company's COO and co-Founder Shane Evans on CBS' hit reality series, Undercover Boss. The expansion into the Cleveland market is part of the aggressive growth plan for the company that opened its 100th Retreat in December 2013 and has 30 in development and plans for 75 licenses in 2014.

Massage Heights offers a variety of custom massage modalities, including Deep Tissue, Swedish, Sports Therapy, Prenatal and Reflexology, as well as custom dermalogica skin treatments, including Anti-Aging, Sensitive Skin, Clear Skin and Brightening.
