Francis Investment Counsel Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary

Francis Investment Counsel also announces a new resource blog for plan sponsors and participants.

2014-03-13
MILWAUKEE, WI, March 13, 2014 (Press-News.org) Francis Investment Counsel, a Pewaukee-based provider of retirement plan investment consulting and employee education services, celebrates ten years of providing conflict-free advice. Over the past decade, Francis has helped guide the retirement plan decisions of tens of thousands of retirement plan participants.

Before creating Francis Investment Counsel in 2004, core team members including President Michael J. Francis, Senior Vice President Kelli Send and Vice President Joseph Topp, provided investment advisory and employee education services to qualified retirement plans starting as early as 1988 as part of a national financial services firm. "We are proud to say we continue to serve our very first client to this day," said President and Founder, Michael J. Francis. In 2004, after sixteen years as part of a larger organization, this highly specialized team of advisors severed their relationship with the firm and became completely independent. Since becoming independent in 2004, assets under advisement, number of clients, and number of employees have all nearly tripled. Today, Francis celebrates 10 years of being 100% employee owned providing independent and conflict-free investment advisory services to well over $5 billion in retirement plan assets.

Francis Investment Counsel has also launched a blog in effort to provide additional independent, conflict-free advice to plan sponsors and plan participants. Located on the homepage of their website, www.francisinvco.com, the blog will cover timely industry and regulatory issues. Registration is not required to view the blog.

"We have the honor of serving some of the nation's most progressive mid- to large-size retirement plan sponsors who are committed to making forward-looking decisions on behalf of their participants," said Francis. "We look forward to continued growth as the industry further embraces conflict-free expert advice."

Francis Investment Counsel has been recognized by Pensions & Investments Magazine as a "Top 100" Institutional Investment Consultant and PlanSponsor Magazine has named it a "Top 100 Retirement Plan Advisor" for 9 years. Francis' employee education programs have been recognized on three separate occasions with a prestigious Eddy Award for outstanding work in the field of employee education, by Pension & Investments Magazine.

Francis Investment Counsel LLC is a fee-only Registered Investment Advisor dedicated to providing independent investment consulting and employee education services to the qualified plan marketplace.
