DALLAS, TX, March 13, 2014 (Press-News.org) Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP Bankruptcy and Business Reorganization Partner Deirdre B. Ruckman has been chosen by The American College of Bankruptcy to be inducted as a Fellow in the 25th Class of the College.
The American College of Bankruptcy is an honorary professional and educational association of bankruptcy and insolvency professionals. The College sustains professional excellence and supports educational and pro bono efforts in local communities around the country. The fellowship includes commercial and consumer bankruptcy attorneys, insolvency accountants, turnaround and workout specialists, law professors, judges, government officials and others involved in the bankruptcy and insolvency community.
Ms. Ruckman will be among 33 nominees from across the country honored and recognized for their professional excellence and exceptional contributions to the fields of bankruptcy and insolvency. The induction is scheduled for March 14 in Washington, D.C., at the Smithsonian Donald W. Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture.
Ms. Ruckman is a partner in Gardere's Bankruptcy and Business Reorganization Practice Group and served as chair of the section for 15 years. She has more than 35 years of experience representing numerous clients in workouts and bankruptcy cases in Texas and nationally. Ms. Ruckman has been recognized with various honors in the Bankruptcy section, including The Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, Guide to the World's Leading Women in Business Law and Texas Super Lawyers.
