Deadline for nominations Nov. 17, 2010. Winners to be honored during IT Innovator Awards Reception at HIMSS in Orlando, Fla., Feb. 21, 2011. Nominations and RSVPs for reception being accepted online at http://www.Healthcare-Informatics.com.

NEW YORK—Healthcare Informatics, the industry-leading publication for healthcare IT professionals, has extended the submission deadline for the Healthcare Informatics IT Innovator Awards to Nov. 17, 2010.

The IT Innovator Awards Program recognizes healthcare leadership teams who have effectively employed information technology to make a difference in their organizations and in the industry at large. Teams can find more information on the awards and submit their projects for consideration online at http://www.healthcare-informatics.com/2011InnovatorAward.

Winners will be recognized during the Healthcare Informatics IT Innovator Awards Reception at HIMSS in Orlando, Fla., on Feb. 21, 2011. Parties interested in attending the event should RSVP online at http://www.Healthcare-Informatics.com/rsvp.

The Top Three Winners of the IT Innovator Awards will be featured in the February 2011 cover story in Healthcare Informatics, with the first-place winning team pictured on the cover. Past Healthcare Informatics IT Innovators, like last year's winner Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, have described the Innovator Award as a motivator that inspired them toward further innovation.

After the Nov. 17 submission deadline, 10 finalists will be selected by the editors of Healthcare Informatics and posted on the Healthcare Informatics Web site. Readers will vote on the finalists Nov. 19-23, and the winners and finalists will be announced Nov. 24.
