Laser Skin Resurfacing Offers Patients A New Outlook On Their Appearance

At Montana Facial Surgery, PC, Dr. Raymond Kaufman works to provide his patients with superior care, including the availability of laser skin resurfacing.

2014-03-15
BUTTE, MT, March 15, 2014 (Press-News.org) Aging, acne or too much time spent in the sun can leave a person's face with blotches, scars and wrinkles. To help patients achieve skin that looks and feels younger and healthier, Dr. Raymond Kaufman of Montana Facial Surgery, PC offers laser skin resurfacing for Butte area patients.

With laser skin resurfacing, layer-by-layer of skin is removed with precision to allow for new skin cells to form during healing. Through this, the skin will gain a tighter, younger looking surface. In Butte, laser skin resurfacing can be done alone or in conjunction with other cosmetic surgeries of the face. The availability of laser skin resurfacing can help improve minor facial flaws, including:

- Fine lines or wrinkles
- Scars from acne or chickenpox
- Non-responsive skin after a facelift
- Aged or sun-damaged skin
- Liver spots
- Improvement of yellowish or grayish skin tones
- Warts
- Birthmarks
- Enlarged oil glands on the nose

Dr. Raymond Kaufman will utilize a laser to send short, concentrated pulsating beams of light at irregular skin to remove unwanted, damaged skin in a precise manner. Through this targeted approach, fewer problems will arise with hypopigmentation. The laser beam used during laser skin resurfacing in Butte at Montana Facial Surgery, PC will help to remove the outer layer of skin, called the epidermis.

This will simultaneously heat the underlying skin, called the dermis, to help stimulate the growth of new collagen fibers. Once the area begins to heal, the new skin will form in a smoother and firmer fashion. Dr. Kaufman invites his patients to visit his office for further consultation and to determine if laser skin resurfacing is the best treatment option for improving the appearance of their skin.

About Montana Facial Surgery, PC: With over 25 years of experience providing comprehensive medical and surgical care of the face, head, neck and skin, Dr. Raymond Kaufman stands out among the rest. He is board certified in both Facial Plastic Surgery and Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, which gives him superior experience. He received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed an internship in General Surgery at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. Early in his head and neck training, Dr. Kaufman developed an interest in plastic surgery of the face and neck. He went on to complete a postgraduate fellowship in plastic surgery of the face, eyes, nose and neck with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. To this day, Dr. Raymond Kaufman remains active in pursuit of education, new technologies and theories, and science regarding improved methods of patient evaluation, treatment and care.
