ATLANTA, GA, March 18, 2014 (Press-News.org) Visix has added a new 4K digital signage media player capable of supporting the super-high resolution displays that are now more widely available. It is powered by an Intel Haswell processor and HD 5000 graphics, enabling it to bring 4K content to life at the Ultra HD resolution of 3840x2160.
The new player can easily be placed behind a display with its very compact form factor and built-in power supply. The player is just 4.25 x 6.5 x 1.63 inches in size.
"Our AxisTV software platform already allows customers to design monitor layouts well beyond 4K - up to 14K in fact - so with the growing use of 4K displays, we are excited to offer a 4K media player to match the new display technology," says Trey Hicks, Chief Sales Officer for Visix. "Many of our corporate, university and healthcare clients are deploying video walls or large 4K displays in high traffic or high visibility areas. This new player extends our ability to accommodate the range of large-display/many-display applications."
In addition to the 4K media player, Visix offers media players with two, four and eight outputs for tackling multi-display video wall projects.
