recordJet Passengers and YouTube Prodigies "DieLochis" Fly Into the Charts for the Second Time

Second highest chart entry in week 12, after Coldplay. In good company between Avicii and Eminem/Rihanna

2014-03-19
BERLIN, GERMANY, March 19, 2014 (Press-News.org) They've done it again. recordJet passengers "DieLochis" have entered the German single charts with their new single "Ich bin blank" (I'm broke). In week 12, the two students got cozy at number 35, surrounded by internationally successful musicians such as Avicii and Eminem/Rihanna. They were also that week's second highest chart entry, topped only by megastars Coldplay.

Twin brothers Roman and Heiko Lochmann, managed by their mother Anja, are a unique phenomenon in Germany: Made famous by their videos on YouTube, the boys were able to quickly gather a large following of their peers. Right now, they have more than 213,000 likes on Facebook and 674,000 subscribers on YouTube. The music video for their current single, "Ich bin blank", has achieved almost 1.5 million views - an impressive number for a track that's less than 14 days old.

"DieLochis are a prime example of music usage in the under 20 age group. This age group, more than any other, relies on YouTube for discovering and consuming music. Just like what happened with Justin Bieber, DieLochis' success would hardly have been possible without the video platform. But, long story short, we would like to congratulate our youngest and some of our most successful passengers on their second entry into the charts. They're almost old hands in the business now" recordJet Captain Jorin Zschiesche commented with a wink.

The first DieLochis single "Durchgehend online" (Continuously Online) entered the German single charts at number 55 in week 55 of 2013. The music video to "Durchgehend online" has reached almost 6.5 million views on YouTube.
