TOMS RIVER, NJ, March 19, 2014 (Press-News.org) The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore raised more than $160 thousand dollars while honoring the personal and professional achievements of select group of local individuals and organizations during its Women of Distinction & Community Partners Gala sponsored by Investors Bank on March 7th at Eagle Oaks Country Club in Farmingdale.
During the black tie affair, the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, which serves more than 10,000 girls and 6,000 adult volunteers in Monmouth and Ocean counties, paid tribute to Dr. June Duck, CentraState Healthcare System; Mary Ann Larkin, Stillwell-Hansen Inc.; Kathleen Mead, Investors Bank; Middletown Girl Scout Troop 1701, and Holiday Express, Tim McLoone.
The chosen honorees, all from Monmouth and Ocean counties, contribute substantially to our community and embody essential Girl Scout leadership qualities making them valuable role models for girls in our area. Upon receiving their respective awards, each honoree expressed gratitude for the recognition and thanked those whose positive influence helped pave their paths to success.
