NAPLES, FL, March 21, 2014 (Press-News.org) Anyone who knows Richard Alan Counts can attest to the fact that he has enjoyed notable career success. For the past 30 years, Richard Alan Counts has worked in the fields of energy law, oil and gas exploration and real estate. During his career, he has represented several Fortune 500 oil and gas exploration companies, founded several different oil and gas related companies, and has consulted for domestic and foreign government agencies. Richard Alan Counts started his career in 1983, after he graduated from University of Tulsa Law School and its National Institute for Energy Law and Policy. He received a Juris Doctorate degree from the university, and shortly thereafter passed the bar exam. Upon graduation, he became employed by ARCO Oil and Gas. At ARCO he worked as a senior attorney and played a pivotal role in the merger of ARCO Oil and Gas and ARCO Exploration.

From 1990 to 2000, Richard Alan Counts worked to create the largest energy law practice in the eastern United States. In 1993 he sold his law practice and formed Maverick Oil and Gas which was subsequently acquired by Evan Energy, A Morgan Massey company. He taught as an adjunct professor at East Tennessee University. Richard Alan Counts enjoyed teaching, as he was able to inspire young minds with his passion for international law. At Evan Energy, Richard Alan Counts, as president, grew its asset base from under ten million to a projected worth of sixty million in 6 years. In 2001, he acquired Gap Exploration, Ltd with over 200 wells in Texas, New Mexico and Mississippi. Also in 2001, he sold his interest in Evan Energy and moved to Naples, FL.

Richard Alan Counts sought additional education at the University of Dundee Centre for Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy in Scotland, United Kingdom. In 1993, he completed the Executive Energy Law Programme.

After completing the program at the University of Dundee, Richard Alan Counts went on to found and manage several successful companies in the fields of real estate and energy law. In real estate, Richard Alan Counts works with Calusa Bay Development, LLC. This company develops luxury homes in Naples, Florida.

Richard Alan Counts has truly hit his stride. He has founded and managed several oil and gas exploration companies, all of which have enjoyed remarkable success. Richard Alan Counts is the Managing Partner for Gap Exploration, Ltd and for Ranger 40 Petroleum, LLC. He also serves as the Managing Member of Western Slope Oil Services, LLC. In addition to these roles, he is also the Chief Executive Officer of Wind River Petroleum, LP and Greystone Group, GmbH. The majority of Richard Alan Counts' energy companies operate in the Permian Basin area in Texas and New Mexico. However, the Greystone Group is particularly notable, as its office is in London and the company consults for companies in the LNG industry.

While most people would be content to have founded just one successful business during their career, Richard Alan Counts saw no reason not to expand his efforts into multiple companies. His knowledge of the real estate field and the energy industry, coupled with his passion for law, has enabled him to manage several highly influential companies. Although his career has spanned three decades, Richard Alan Counts is by no means finished with his work. He looks forward to continued success in the future.

About: Richard Alan Counts manages numerous companies in the oil and gas industry in the United States and the United Kingdom.
