Bolthouse Farms Implementing River Logic's Trade Promotion Optimization (TP0) Planner Software
2010-11-16
DALLAS, TX, November 16, 2010 (Press-News.org) River Logic, Inc., a leading provider of corporate performance management and predictive modeling software, today announced that Bolthouse Farms, a multi-hundred million dollar a year and multi-national leader in the "healthy choice" segment of the food and beverage industry, has selected Trade Promotion Optimization (TPO) Planner to improve the financial performance of trade investment decisions.

"We reviewed a variety of trade promotion planning software offerings and River Logic, in partnership with Synectics Group, distinguished itself as a truly white-space solution that complements our infrastructure," said Bill Levisay, Vice President of Sales for Bolthouse Farms. "First, TPO Planner will enable us to optimize trade planning and improve overall category performance - this is especially significant given the rapid growth in our beverage category. Additionally, TPO Planner will enable our sales teams to identify win-win opportunities with our trading partners."

River Logic delivers Trade Promotion Optimization (TPO) Planner through an alliance with Synectics Group. TPO Planner is a new category of software that enables corporate and field planners to apply true mathematical optimization to trade budget allocation and customer trade calendars to maximize share, revenue, and profitability objectives. The ability to optimize what-if analyses from multiple perspectives helps managers make balanced decisions that meet corporate objectives.

Bolthouse Farms will simultaneously implement Synectics Group's Account Review , Symphony IRI's Price and Trade Advantage, and River Logic's TPO Planner. The fully integrated solution will enable TPO Planner to pull master data from Account Review and baseline and lift assumptions from Price and Trade Advantage. TPO Planner will then generate and push optimized customer calendars to Account Review for execution.

"Bolthouse Farms' selection of TPO Planner demonstrates the consumer goods industry is ready for a new type of solution to maximize the return on ever larger amounts of trade dollars spent," said Carlos Centurion, COO for River Logic. "We're committed to meeting the specific requirements of the industry and excited by the ongoing innovation we're delivering. River Logic enables trade planning and optimization; however, it differentiates itself in the marketplace by linking this functionality to integrated business and financial planning, cost-to-serve, and value chain network optimization."
