NEW YORK, NY, March 24, 2014 (Press-News.org) Hocks Out Press announces the third annual Thumperino Superbunny Easter Drawing/Coloring Contest. To enter is simple: draw and color a scene from the action adventure story Thumperino - Diary of a Superbunny or the newly released You-Color-It Storybook, A Cow Named Cow, for a chance to win one of three top prizes. Winners will be notified by email and announced on the Hocks Out Press website on Wednesday, April 23, 2014. "Each year I am more and more impressed by the creativity of Thumperino's fans," says author Amber L. Spradlin. "Expressing themselves through drawing and coloring broadens the imagination and is one of my favorite ways to make reading fun for a child." The drawing/coloring contest launches Monday, March 24, 2014, with a submission deadline of Sunday, April 20, 2014. Top prizes, in the form of gift cards redeemable from leading retailers in the book and e-book market, will be awarded to three randomly selected winners. Children ages 3 to 13 may enter for a chance to win. All participants will receive honorable mention and have their artwork displayed throughout the year on the Hocks Out Press website. Thumperino - Diary of a Superbunny is the winner of the Pacific Book Award for Best Animal/Pet Book of 2014. It appeared on NBC's The Michael J. Fox Show, reached number one on the Top 100 Children's Books list February 2014 and March 2013, and also topped the "What's Hot" list from Creative Play Retailer. The Thumperino Superbunny series debuted at the Bologna Children's Book Fair in Italy and has been accepted into the Library of Congress and The National Library of Scotland. The Thumperino books are also offered in lending boxes by LittleFreeLibrary.org, a charitable organization providing neighborhood library stewardship worldwide. A Cow Named Cow, the recently released You-Color-It Storybook, which reached #1 in sales its first week on the market, is the first book in a new series published by Hocks Out Press.

Hocks Out is a web portal into a world of merchandise, book publishing through Hocks Out Press, social media mini-tales, and photo/video explorations from around the world, including several world heritage sites. Thumperino Superbunny shares regular Twitter sagas of his crime fighting prowess and posts Facebook messages about his travels. Photo and video diaries of the fictional character and the actual therapy rabbit, Thumperino, span the globe from the canals of Venice, the fortified walls of the Brimstone Hill Fortress, and the ancient citadel of Edinburgh. Hocks Out was originally inspired by the adventures of Thumperino, a real life house rabbit and his companion Veronica. The pair are adopted therapy rabbits, certified by the Service Animal Registry of America. They reside in New York where they work to spread the message of the value of pet adoption. A portion of the proceeds from sales of products on Hocks Out are donated to rabbit rescues and reading programs.
