The Plantation Shutter Experts at Eclipse Shutters Discuss Bi-fold and By-pass Shutter Systems for Your Home
2014-03-27
ATLANTA, GA, March 27, 2014 (Press-News.org) Plantation shutter manufacturers Eclipse Shutters knows that its custom-made plantation style shutters can be used for much more than just traditional window shutters. To encourage their customers' creative use of plantation shutters throughout the home, Eclipse Shutters offers two different track system options: the bi-fold track system and the by-pass track system.

The bi-fold shutter track system is most commonly used for closet and patio doors. It allows the shutters to slide and fold open easily. Shutters on the bi-fold track system are hinged in the middle to encourage simplicity and flow when opening. Homeowners with larger window and door openings often find that the bi-fold track system makes it easier for them to maneuver their large custom indoor shutters.

The by-pass track system makes it easy for individual shutter pieces to slide past each other without needing to fold. The shutter panels slide from left to right, each on its own track. This track system is ideal for homeowners who are looking to use their custom built plantation shutters as room dividers or to separate living spaces.

Both the bi-fold and by-pass track systems are able to cover window and door openings that are between 24 and 192 inches wide and between 20 and 120 inches tall. Each comes with a deluxe divider rail that can be easily used as a built-in handle so that you can easily open and close the shutters at will.

"Plantation shutters offer such a clean and classic look that they are a beautiful design element when used throughout a home," says Shannon Hodges, Business Manager of Eclipse Shutters. "We encourage our customers to come up with new and exciting ways to incorporate plantation shutters into their decor and daily lives."
