Dr. Bob Sears is a Pediatrician, co-author of the Sears Parenting Library, and solo author of The Vaccine Book: Making the Right Decision for Your Child. Dr. Sears has appeared on the Dr. Phil show, the Ellen DeGeneres show, CNN's House Calls with Dr. Sanjay Gupta, The CBS Early Show, and PBS's "A Place of Our Own." He will discuss the various controversies surrounding this issue and address any contraindications or warnings regarding vaccines for breastfeeding mothers.
Speaker Christy Jo Hendricks,IBCLC, RLC, CD(DONA) is an educator with over twenty years of experience. She developed the Grow Our Own Lactation Consultant/IBCLC Prep Course in 2009. The course has been used to prepare hundreds of women in California to become Lactation Consultants. Christy Jo is a favorite speaker due to her knowledge base and humorous, passionate way in which she presents.
Speaker Laurel Wilson, IBCLC, CLE, CCCE, CLD has over two decades years of experience working with families and birth professionals. Laurel takes a creative approach to working with the pregnant family, helping families to connect with their inner resources to discover their true beliefs about themselves, their relationships, and their abilities to birth and parent their children. She has been featured as a pregnancy and breastfeeding expert in professional videos and webinars.
Speaker Kathleen Kendall-Tackett , Ph.D., IBCLC, FAPA is a health psychologist and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She is the Owner and Editor-in-Chief of Praeclarus Press, a new small press focusing on women's health A prolific author, she has written more than 320 journal articles, book chapters and other publications, and is author or editor of 22 books in the fields of trauma, women's health, depression, and breastfeeding.
Speaker Jennifer Kamel is the Founder/ Director of VBAC Facts, whose mission is to close the gap between what people believe and what major medical organizations say about post-cesarean birth options. She presents her class "The Truth About VBAC: History, Politics, & Stats" to interested parties throughout the United States including parents, practitioners, birth professionals, and advocates.
Speaker Andrea C. Randall, MD is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
