"Ancestral Healing and the Spirits of the Land on April 1 "Why Shamanism Now?" with Christina Pratt

On the next episode of "Why Shamanism Now?", teacher, author and founder of the Last Mask Center for Shamanic Healing Christina Pratt talks about human patterns that repeat over and over again and the ancestral connections behind this.

2014-03-29
PORTLAND, OR, March 29, 2014 (Press-News.org) Streaming live on the Co-Creator Radio Network on Tuesday, April 1, at 11am Pacific/2pm Eastern on "Why Shamanism Now? A Practical Path to Authenticity," shaman and founder of the Last Mask Center for Shamanic Healing Christina Pratt notes that traditionally, "the ancestors" are helping spirits that assist the living in creating a world the descendants are honored to inherit. Yet in our immediate past and present are deep ancestral patterns of colonization, slavery, dominance of one group of humans over another, and massacre for land and the resources held within the land. According to Pratt, unresolved human patterns repeat again and again until they are reconciled. The presence of this type of unresolved ancestral pattern can cause chronic disease, family patterns of addiction or abuse, or personal issues like chronic depression, hopelessness, and despair. "And these patterns can be held in the land," explains Pratt, "causing those who live on the land to unconsciously avoid the very things they need to do to heal and to release the illness of the past."

In this week's episode of "Why Shamanism Now?" titled "Ancestral Healing and the Spirits of the Land", Pratt tells listeners that ancestral healing is needed to allow people and the land to heal and grow bountiful for those who are coming."

Christina Pratt is a contemporary shaman specializing in mending the soul and transforming the parts of life that feel impossible. A teacher of exceptional clarity, humor, and inspiration, Pratt brings the power of shamanism into the practical grasp of anyone willing to take responsibility for improving the quality of their life. Her book An Encyclopedia of Shamanism clearly discusses the basic concepts of shamanism, methods, and traditions of over 50 different shamanic peoples. Pratt is the founder of the Last Mask Center for Shamanic Healing, creator of the original Foundations of Shamanism and Shamanic Healing course at the University of Minnesota, and a frequent and honored speaker for the American Holistic Medical Association.

"Why Shamanism Now? A Practical Path to Authenticity", a live internet talk radio show with host Christina Pratt, airs Tuesdays at 11am Pacific/2pm Eastern time on co-creatornetwork.com/hosts/shamanism/host_bio.htm.
