Katina Makris, Award Winning Author Of 'Out Of The Woods: Healing Lyme Disease' To Appear At Healthy Living Expo In Plymouth MA

BOSTON, MA, April 02, 2014 (Press-News.org) Katina Makris, author of the award winning book about Lyme Disease, 'Out Of The Woods: Healing Lyme Disease' will appear at the 9th Annual Healthy Living Expo to be held in at the Plymouth Radisson Waterfront Hotel in Plymouth, MA on Sunday, April 6, 2014. Her 2-hour presentation will begin at 1pm local time.

Celebrating 9 years of promoting wellness, this year's event will feature a 5k Road Race that starts at 9am at East Bay Grill. The event supports Team Project Arts of Plymouth, Inc. and Team Children's Miracle Network.

"Lyme disease," Makris stated, "is the epidemic infectious illness of our era that asks us to unite the two hands of health care. We must marry the scientific diagnostic and pharmaceutical weaponry of allopathic medicine with the restorative therapeutics of natural medicine. Two hands working together are better than one. I will outline this roadmap during my workshop."

Other speakers at the 2014 Expo include Liam Galvin and Lori Sheridan, Judy Giovangelo, Leroy Malouf, Margaux Skalecki, Darnell Nestor annd Doreen Tripp.

In addition to penning an award winning book about Lyme Disease, Makris also hosts the first radio show of it's kind, 'Lyme Light Radio with Katina'. The show promotes dialogue among Lyme disease researchers, doctor, patients, authors, caretakers and any other person associated with or suffering from lyme disease A segment of the Transformation Talk Radio network, and in partnership with the very popular 'Dr. Pat Show', ' Lyme Light Radio With Katina' is a place for Lyme disease and associated conditions to be discussed in a host/guest/call-in format with a world wide audience.

Lyme Light Radio and Transformation Talk Radio's mission is to broadcast a distinctive blend of live talk radio interviews with a mix of uplifting and intelligent news, education and practical information. Topics range from personal development to critical issues relevant to a rapidly changing world.

Katina Makris, has worked in natural health care for 30 years, as a Classical Homeopath and Certified Intuitive Healer. She is a former popular newspaper health columnist or 10 years and a board member of The Council for Homeopathic Certification. She currently is a board member of Be Tick Ready, a Lyme education group. Katina is a graduate of Duke University and The Stillpoint School of Integrative Life Healing. After 5 years of misdiagnosis and 5 more years of treatments, Katina has triumphantly overcome advanced chronic Lyme disease. Her story is filled with inspiration for all the many who suffer with this misunderstood, misdiagnosed illness. Having lost her career, savings, home, health and marriage to Lyme, Katina bears a sense of what deep loss and true healing really involves.
