Citipeak Promotions Ltd Warn Marketers of the Challenges that Changes to Data Privacy Will Bring

As the EU plans to make changes to Data Protection Regulations, Citipeak Promotions warns UK businesses that aren't preparing for the change, the challenges they will face.

2014-04-09
LONDON, ENGLAND, April 09, 2014 (Press-News.org) In a recent study by The Drum, 56% of people are worried about the misuse of their personal privacy when using the Internet. On 28th January 1981, the first Pan-European Data Protection law was passed, and this year, the EU lawmakers will be looking at making progress on the EU Data Protection Regulation. In the UK, the ICD wants to focus its resources on businesses that repeatedly get data protection wrong and will be taking action against those who commit serious breaches of Data Protection law.

Events Marketing firm Citipeak Promotions warn UK businesses about the tighter controls when using consumer data. Brands will now have to work harder than ever before to communicate one-to-one with consumers and must offer compelling reasons to become engaged and share their personal information. Citipeak Promotions predicts that only those companies that get to grips with how the data protection regulations are changing will be successful in the future.

Citipeak Promotions is an Events Marketing based in London. The firm has the knowledge and experience to understand consumer needs, enabling them to set up tailor made marketing campaigns for their clients; conducting all sales and marketing on a personalised face to face basis.

About Citipeak Promotions Ltd

"Companies need to be aware of the changes that the EU is making to the use of consumer data," stated Nick Johnson, Managing Director of Citipeak Promotions. "With the DMA warning that a third of businesses are failing to prepare for these changes, there are likely to be businesses that become in breach of new Data Protection Regulations," added Nick Johnson.

As the European Parliament are leaning towards a 'less business friendly' version of the data protection rules, Citipeak Promotions are reviewing the company systems and processes in advance of the vote to ensure there will be no impact on the firms growing success.

The success that Citipeak Promotions has achieved so far is due to the company's core values. Citipeak Promotions is a people business and always put people first whether they are a national client or a single customer. Because of this core value, the new EU Data Protection rules do not intimidate the firm.

Founded in 2010, Citipeak Promotions is now one of the UK's leading Events Marketing firms with a vision to become the largest and most effective sales and marketing firm in the UK.

Founded by Nick Johnson in early 2010, Citipeak Promotions Ltd is a vibrant Event Sales and Marketing Company; providing a cost-effective service for a wide range of clients, with the ability to enter new target markets throughout the UK and Europe.
