BOSTON, MA, August 27, 2010 (Press-News.org) On September 25th The SYNERGY Events, Boston's upscale events production group, is hosting their 3rd annual Boston Fashion Week production - The Emerging Trends 2010. Returning once again to The Castle by the Boston Park Plaza Hotel, this exclusive event will showcase some of the most creative and original up and coming designers from all over the world. Hosted by Miss Massachusetts 2010, Lacey Wilson, the event will run from 8:00 P.M. to midnight, and will feature a fashion show on an 80 foot runway, a cocktail reception, and high-end vendors offering distinctive merchandise. Bigger, better, and sexier than ever, Emerging Trends 2010 promises to not only be a fabulous evening, but also position Boston as an exemplar of fashion-forwardness.
Committed to expanding the fashion industry throughout Boston, The Emerging Trends aims to provide a vehicle for promising designers to reveal their collections to an upscale audience. The 2008 and 2009 Emerging Trends events were a great success for participating designers and sponsors alike. Former Project Runway contestant, Jerry Tam, and The Fashion Show contestant, Keith Lissner are both past participants of the event. Up-and-coming designers like Maya Luz (a recent Project Runway participant) and Zack Lo (London designer residing in Boston now) chose Emerging Trends 2009 as the platform to debut their work and have since successfully launched their careers.
"Emerging Trends is not only an incredible opportunity for designers to showcase their work to a community known for its innovation and creativity but also for Boston fashion enthusiasts to gain firsthand exposure to fashion from around the world," says Reaz Hoque, CEO of The SYNERGY Events. "The 2010 show is our largest yet and we expect to see everyone who's anyone in the Boston fashion scene there for a night of high fashion and exceptional style."
This year's featured talented designers include VU Collections (Virgin Islands), Vivian Aronson (MN) and Janice Louise Miller (Canada) along with Lynn Uwadiale (WA), Maria Hamilton (Venezuela/FL), Nikki Herzog (Boston), Crystal Noe (Boston), Ilena Rojas (NC), Annie Fish (Boston), Mia Loomba (WA), Maria Veronica Rivas (FL), and Gregory Hugill (Boston).
Hair and makeup for the 2010 show will be provided by Best of Boston 2009 Salon, Indra Salon. Based out of Andover, MA, Indra Salon features spa services, an Aveda lifestyle retail store and has been features in print publications, including: Salon Today, The Andovers, and Modern Salon. The Make Up Artists, whose impressive clientele include: Saks Fifth Avenue, MTV, CNN, FOX, and Disney, will also be providing beauty service for the show. Their Cutting edge technique including, television and theatre make-up, extensions, and airbrushing has been in a number of media including NBC's Losing it with Jillian, GalTime, Fox25, Sloane Magazine, and Boston Bridal Guide.
