MINNEAPOLIS, MN, April 14, 2014 (Press-News.org) Award-winning style maven Faatemah has signed on as lead hairstylist for designer Emma Berg's "I Am Everything" benefit fashion event, Tuesday, April 22 at the Ritz Theater. Combining the worlds of fashion and philanthropy, the event will feature Berg's Spring/Summer 2014 collection of prom dresses inspired by 10 senior high school students selected from five Boys & Girls Clubs across the Twin Cities. The young women will walk the runway in the dresses designed exclusively for them.
Faatemah will provide hair styling services and direction, bringing her retro glam hair prowess to the event's behind-the-scenes team. The beauty veteran has nearly 20 years of styling experience, including traveling the globe as a founding member of the elite Intercoiffure America/Canada Artistic Council and being featured in myriad print, web and broadcast mediums.
"I am excited to donate my time and talents to such a wonderful cause," said Faatemah. "I look forward to helping pamper and glam these young ladies. I understand the value of self-esteem, especially as a teenager, and how important it is when it comes to making good choices. I believe good self-esteem correlates with great successes later in life."
In addition to the "I Am Everything" collection, Berg will showcase a capsule from her Fall/Winter 2014 collection on the runway. The evening is produced by Sarah Edwards of I AM MPLS and I AM Kindness and will be emceed by fashion expert Grant Whittaker. The collections will be styled by Davee Ek; MOTTO and designer Claire Ward will also have featured segments styled by Lisa Marie Gherardini.
"I Am Everything" takes place Tuesday, April 22, 6pm at the Ritz Theater located at 345 13th Ave. N.E. in Minneapolis. Tickets may be purchased in advance online or at the door - 75% of ticket sales will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of the Twin Cities.
