DUSSELDORF, GERMANY, November 18, 2010 (Press-News.org) Michael Bolton is set to appear on stage in Dusseldorf next month.
Fans of the veteran American crooner will be in for an early Christmas treat when he arrives at the German city's Philipshalle venue on Tuesday December 7th.
Bolton's performance in front of Dusseldorf hotel guests is one of several dates he has lined up in Germany, following appearances at Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall and the Royal Albert Hall in London.
The singer launched his recording career in 1975 and has released 17 studio albums to date.
Known for his powerful tenor voice, Bolton has dominated the easy listening charts for many years with original tracks and his distinctive versions of well-known songs.
One of his first hits was (Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay, an interpretation of the classic Otis Redding soul number he released in 1988.
Time, Love and Tenderness, Bolton's popular album from 1991, includes his famous cover of When a Man Loves a Woman by Percy Sledge.
Bolton has collaborated and performed with many of the world's top artists over the years, including Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Ray Charles, BB King and Celine Dion.
His recent studio album One World One Love featured collaborations with pop megastar Lady Gaga and R&B chart-topper Ne-Yo.
He also shares the microphone with Elaine Paige on the singer's new album of duets, Elaine Paige and Friends.
Tickets for Bolton's concert in Dusseldorf are now available online, priced between EUR56.40 and EUR79.40 (GBP47.90 and GBP67.40). The music is due to begin at 20:00 local time.
