Florida Matchmaker "Raises the Bar" to help Singles Find Love

Love Guru is "Not Your Grandmother's Matchmaker"

2014-04-16
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL, April 16, 2014 (Press-News.org) Kelly Leary isn't "your grandmother's matchmaker." In fact, she's brought this ancient talent that goes back thousands of years into the 21st century with her new company, Revolution Dating.

"Since the advent of the internet, dating has gotten way more complicated than it ever was," said Leary, who has been a fixture on the matchmaking scene in South Florida and the Treasure Coast for 23 years. "While on the one hand there are more choices than ever, on the other hand you have no idea who you're meeting. Plus, most people don't have the kind of time to waste that internet dating requires, and in some cases doing it that way can be downright scary."

Leary opened Revolution Dating in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida earlier this year with the goal of "raising the bar way above what any other service in Florida is doing."

To ensure the integrity of members, who range in age from 25-85, Leary and her staff start by carefully screening all potential members, including doing background checks. They then employ their professional and instinctive talents to identify who would make the perfect match.

"What comes next is one aspect of what we do that sets us apart," said Leary. "We follow up after members have gone on a date to get feedback from each party. Since people often don't see themselves as others see them, this gives us an opportunity to share with our members what they did to make a good impression as well as little ways they can do even better the next time."

Each member receives a professional photo shoot, writing assistance with their profile and one-on-one image consulting.

In addition, Revolution Dating sponsors regular specialized seminars that help people better understand dating and relationships and provide a forum for members to meet one another in a relaxed environment free of expectations.

Other sponsored activities include invitation-only parties and mixers, kayaking, yoga and speed dating events.

"This is the most exciting business model I've ever employed because it improves the likelihood that members will have a life-changing experience," noted Leary, who has a master's degree in psychology. "Our combination of old-fashioned instinct and high-tech sophistication makes dating and 'getting out there' much easier and much more likely to work."
