NEW TAIPEI CITY, TAIWAN, April 16, 2014 (Press-News.org) UNIFOSA CORP. launched the 2U 24Bays 12Gb/s SAS JBOD, EP-2246J/JD-SCSC, which offers high density storage, hardware redundancy and easily integrates into versatile applications that request high performance and high scalability. The EP-2246J/JD-SCSC accommodates the latest SAS 3.0 12Gb/s interface which boost up the throughput up to 4,800MB/s per host. Based on this powerful performance, EP-2246J/JD-SCSC can efficiently meet demands for intensive data access applications, virtualization and Windows Server 2012 installation, and video edition related applications.
The EPICa EP-2246J/JD-SCSC comes with either dual or single JBOD controller configuration for options. On each JBOD controller, the built-in three 12Gb/s 4x mini SAS HD ports doubles bandwidth and throughput than former 6Gb/s interface. These three SAS ports can be flexibly configured as either SAS host channel or SAS expansion port by request. EP-2246J/JD-SCSC also incorporates the latest enhancements in SAS along with LSI DataBolt bandwidth optimizer technology. Using DataBolt, it delivers optimized throughput by allowing users to gain 12Gb/s host speeds with current-generation 6Gb/s drives.
The EP-2246J/JD-SCSC houses up to twenty-four 2.5'' hot-swappable drives and supports 12Gb/s SAS or 6Gb/s SATA HDDs or SSDs in a compact 2U chassis. EP-2246J/JD-SCSC features a modular architecture for all key components which ease system maintenance and management. The EP-2246J/JD-SCSC offers GUI management to monitor enclosure environmental conditions through a remote connection. It utilizes industry-standard SCSI enclosure services (SES) to monitor enclosure and disk environmental conditions, such as temperature, voltage, fan speed and power supply status.
