Carl Baudenbacher is an International Judge

LUXEMBOURG/St, GALLEN, April 17, 2014 (Press-News.org) Carl Baudenbacher, President of EFTA Court, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in law.

With decades of experience in his field, Prof. Dr. iur. Dr. rer. pol. h.c. Baudenbacher is known for his expertise in economic law, litigation and dispute resolution at large. Daily he is tasked with overseeing the operation of the EFTA judicial system. The EFTA Court is an international court whose jurisdiction covers the three EFTA countries that are parties to the European Economic Area (EEA), Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. At the same time he teaches European and international law at the renowned University of St. Gallen.

Recently inducted into Worldwide Branding, Justice Baudenbacher attributes his success to his understanding of the relationship between law and politics. He sees law as a tool for steering economic and societal developments. He chose the fields of litigation and dispute resolution because he believes that practicing in these areas of law would allow him to make the most positive change in the world.

In the years ahead, Justice Baudenbacher plans to establish a network of international judges and scholars from major universities worldwide.
