Idea Crowdsourcing Startup, 9th Dot, Launches on iOS and Android So Consumers Can Share Ideas and Earn Rewards

9th Dot, a crowdsourcing consumer insight platform that lets individuals share their innovative ideas for improvements with businesses and potentially earn rewards, has officially launched, and is available on both iOS and Android.

2014-04-17
NEW YORK, NY, April 17, 2014 (Press-News.org) 9th Dot, a crowdsourcing consumer insight platform that lets individuals share their innovative ideas for improvements with businesses and potentially earn rewards, has officially launched, and is available on both iOS and Android. 9th Dot users are able to earn rewards if their ideas are implemented by a business, or by participating in 9th Dot's weekly "Bright Idea" contests in which 9th Dot users are asked to share their best idea for a featured brand.

"Providing consumers with a single, simple and mobile point of access they can use to engage with any
business, while also offering the potential to earn rewards for participating is long overdue," said 9th Dot co- founder, Robert Fellinger. By giving consumers a "Blank Canvas" through which any type of innovative idea for improvement can be shared right at the exact moment the light bulb goes off, 9th Dot is applying a different perspective toward customer engagement. "Surveys are inconvenient and are often forgotten about by the time you are in front of a computer, and comment cards tend to limit what you can say," said 9th Dot co-founder, Jeff Spurlock.

How 9th Dot works
Using the 9th Dot mobile app is simple. After downloading the app, users are able to share a quick overview of a situation they've encountered (e.g. I don't like waiting in line for 20 minutes just for a soda), and then share a proposed improvement (e.g. have a 3rd drive thru window for express orders). Consumers are provided with a simple and consistent user experience, and their ideas are securely stored until they are reviewed by the business. Businesses are able to log in through a customized account and review the various ideas submitted by their customers in real-time.
"Despite having just gone live, we have already started building a broad base of users, which is really the necessary ingredient to deliver insightful content to businesses on an ongoing basis," said Spurlock.

9th Dot's mission is to perfect the user experience by bringing thinking inside the box. Having launched under the basic premise that consumers have waited too long for a simple and consistent means of sharing their innovative ideas for improvements with businesses, and that individuals deserved a reward if their idea is implemented, 9th Dot intends to revolutionize the way businesses engage with their customers.
