Award Winning Author, Singer Lourdes Duque Baron, Set To Release "I Called Myself Cassandra"

Lourdes scorchingly soulful voice first dazzled most of us with La Vie En Rose back in 2013. Notably the diva was a budding 66 years old for the launch of her 1st musical release and most recently in the sleek and funky cover of Me & Mr Jones ft AKNU.

Her achievements in the music industry thus far have been legendary, well known to her fans. But the private side of Lourdes, the story of what betrayal, love lost and mercy have cost her - and taught her - hasn't been told before.

In I Called Myself Cassandra, Lourdes gives us the whole story of the woman behind the powerhouse and reveals her high and low points. Destined to be a memoir must-have, and sources close to Baron's camp reveal there may be a movie deal in the making.

Baron recently opened up to Kaleidoscope Podcast, sharing her reasons for baring intimate, secret indiscretions for not just the world to read but her daughter, nieces and girlfriends as well. Lourdes said, "I thought long and hard about writing this book. I've had so many sleepless nights tackling if I really wanted to reveal my dark past. It was a time where both myself and my husband were spiraling out of control. This memoir is a chance for me to show that we are not perfect, we all make mistakes. In the end my intention is to prove true loves conquers all, but only if both forgive in the same way God forgives and that he forgets, even our darkest hours."

The first stop of the book launch will take place on Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 12:00pm - 5:00pm at The Barrios' Hilltop Glendale Mansion - 3021 Waverly Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90039.
