Villeroy & Boch's Suprafix Sets New Standards For Simple Water Closet Installation

Unique Fastening System Makes Installation of Wall-Mounted WCs Stress-Free

2010-11-18
PRINCETON, NJ, November 18, 2010 (Press-News.org) Villeroy & Boch now offers its innovative SupraFix fastening system throughout the U.S. marketplace. SupraFix, a patent-pending system, sets new standards for wall-mounted WC installation by simplifying the process of attaching both the Water Closet (WC) and the WC seat.

"SupraFix changes everything. Conventional fastening holes are no longer required so unsightly plastic covers are a thing of the past," said Constantin von Boch, national sales manager for the Villeroy & Boch brand. "In addition, a valuable feature of SupraFix is an uninterrupted design which makes cleaning effortless."

With SupraFix, installation is greatly simplified and requires only one installer - no assistance required. The holes in the ceramic surface used to install the WC are also used to fasten the seat via intelligent two-in-one functionality.

In the first step, two consoles on which the WC is placed are fixed to the wall with the normal wall carrier bolts. These consoles are joined with a specially developed connector to facilitate precise positioning. These important components of the fastening system are made of glass fiber-reinforced polyamide, a high-quality plastic that offers tensile strength and safety.

As soon as the fastening screws are positioned in the holes of the WC seat, the SupraFix system supports the entire WC by holding it securely in place. Now the WC can be precisely aligned and the fastening screws tightened with an Allen key. As the installer fixes the WC from above and tightens the screws vertically, the WC is secured to the wall both vertically and horizontally thanks to the intelligent guides.

Another special feature of SupraFix is the threads for the WC seat hinges. They are integrated into the fastening screws for the WC, allowing the installer to tighten the screws for the seat and secure the entire WC to the wall all at once.

SupraFix is currently available in conjunction with Villeroy & Boch's Memento, La Belle and Subway 2.0 collection of wall-mounted WCs. The collection's WC seats are also available with Villeroy & Boch's other innovations such as 'Quick Release' and 'Soft Closing' features.
