SAN BERNARDINO, CA, April 24, 2014 (Press-News.org) - YOUR VIRTUAL WORLD (YVW) will roll out its "Movie Modules " line of English language learning tools on June 1, 2014. Our starting point as a company was, is, and remains this: storytelling is one of mankind's deepest forms of communication and our youth worldwide need all of the help they can get. From our own small corner, in our own small way, and as we are able, YVW is trying improve the lives of the people it touches even if it takes several generations to do so.

Storytelling is inextricably tied to language and we leverage it as a prime motivator and facilitator of English language acquisition. English has evolved to being a global language. YVW is building on this foundation to improve literacy and understanding among young people. We've selected story themes that increase broad cultural awareness and appreciation as all of us grow into an increasingly globalized and hyper-connected world in which there are undeniably real winners and losers.

Our Movie Modules are supported by intralingual subtitles (English language video, English language subtitles). This methodology is also labeled unilingual, bimodal, and Same Language Subtitling (SLS) in scholarly literature. SLS is a powerful, cost-effective, and thoroughly proven complement to English language speaking, reading, and writing development whether English be the first or second language being learned.

Our talking dictionary & thesaurus is completely free to use. Our Movie Modules subscription is kept highly cost competitive with printed paper books and have several distinct advantages to help penetrate global markets needing English language instruction. We'll save the planet's trees from unnecessary destruction as well as the fresh water and energy required to make, print, and distribute our stories. Book size and weight are not an issue. Portability is the hottest advantage for people constantly on the go. Unlike paper books, our multimedia stories can be readily viewed on desktop computers, huge projection screens, web enabled televisions, laptops, portable players, smartphones, eBook readers, tablets, and on devices yet to be invented.
