Learn How to Build Solid Evidence in a Divorce Case with Area Divorce Law Professionals

ST. LOUIS, MO, April 25, 2014 (Press-News.org) Next week, attorney Greg L. Roberts of The Roberts Law Firm, P.C. in Chesterfield, MO will present at the "Discovery and Evidence in Divorce" seminar in St. Louis. The seminar will be put on by the National Business Institute and will be held on Tuesday, Apr. 29 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza St. Louis-Clayton.

Roberts and other area family law and divorce attorneys will present on various topics relating to evidence and divorce including gleaning evidence from tax records, using witness testimony, and legal ethics, among others.

Roberts's presentation, "Common Issues in Dividing a Family Business," will focus specifically on issues pertaining to business assets during divorce. Topics to be covered include reading business statements, business valuation basics, when and how to use a valuation specialist tracking down work for cash and other common ways of hiding money, when and how to use forensic accountants, and dealing with a business partner who is not in the marriage. This portion of the seminar will be held between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m.

This seminar is meant as a basic-to-intermediate education level and all legal professionals, CPAs, financial planners, and even mental health professionals are invited to attend. The entire seminar will count for 7.2 continuing legal education (CLE) credits in Missouri, 6 CLE credits in Illinois, 7 continuing professional education (CPE) credits for CPAs, and 6 credits for the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts.
