LateRooms.com - Enjoy Nerang Celebrates Christmas on the Gold Coast

An array of Christmassy activities will on offer to tourists who visit Nerang next month.

2010-11-19
QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA, November 19, 2010 (Press-News.org) Tourists hoping to get in the festive mood during their stay in Surfers Paradise hotels next month should be sure to take a trip to Nerang Celebrates Christmas.

The suburb will be playing host to a variety of seasonal family fun on December 11th 2010, with the organisers promising an array of activities will be available for people who head down to Bischof Park on Nerang Street.

In order to help visitors develop some Christmas spirit, solo singers Lauchlan Baker and Angela Smith will be on hand performing an array of traditional carols, with the backing of the Gold Coast City Brass Band.

Anyone hoping to see Angela and Lauchlan taking to the stage at the event should step out from their Gold Coast accommodation in plenty of time for the start of their performance at 18:30 local time.

The concert will conclude with a fireworks finale, with the occasion scheduled to finish at 20:30.

As well as all the music, an animal nursery, face painting and A$1 rides will be on offer, while visitors may also get the chance to meet Santa Claus himself.

Nerang is located inland from the Gold Coast and is around 12km away from Surfers Paradise, so the festivities should be within easy reach for most people staying in the area.

For more information on this event, visit the Gold Coast City Council website.

LateRooms.com features a variety of accommodation on the Gold Coast, including the Australis Sovereign Hotel Gold Coast.
