APS and Tony Gonzalez Add Nationals' Pitcher Collin Balester to TEAM APS

Atlanta Falcon, 10 NFL Pro Bowler Tony Gonzazlez and his company, All Por Science, announce addition of Washington Nationals pticher Colling Balester.

2010-11-19
IRVINE, CA, November 19, 2010 (Press-News.org) Tony Gonzalez and All Pro Science, Inc. announce that Washington Nationals' pitcher, Collin Balester, has been added to TEAM APS, All Pro Science's team of professional athlete endorsers. TEAM APS includes top athletes such as NFL greats Warren Moon, Will Shields, Devin McCourty, Nate Burleson, and Jason McCourty. MLB All Star Troy Tulowitzki and LA's top yoga instructor Alanna Zabel are also among TEAM APS's notable athletes. APS athletes are not paid, but instead often approach the company to be a part of its unique and wholesome message.

Collin Balester prepped at Huntington Beach High School in Huntington Beach, CA and graduated in 2004. Huntington High is also the alma mater of APS Co-Founder and President, Tony Gonzalez, who graduated a decade before Balester. Balester was selected by the Montreal Expos in the 2004 MLB Draft in the 4th round. He also starred in AAA Columbus for the Nationals and went 9-3 with a 4.00 ERA in 15 starts with Columbus of the Triple-A International League. Balester was 8-1 with a 3.90 ERA in final 10 IL starts.

Balester made his first MLB appearance for the Washington Nationals on July 1, 2008 against the Florida Marlins. He pitched 5 innings, and only allowed one run while striking out three in the 9-6 win for the Nationals. He is only the 2nd franchise pitcher to get an MLB debut win on the road. Balester is excited at the notion of teaming with an all-natural supplement company that caters to those who need products to be clean and pure in order to perform at elite level.

APS President Tony Gonzalez had this to say about Balester, "Collin's very excited about what we do here. Passion and enthusiasm for an all-natural diet is key to being a TEAM APS member and exactly what we look for in an endorsing athlete. Bally is eager to help us tell others about our message of clean, healthy products that other big-name competitors simply do not produce. " Balester is also well known in for his passion of surfing, hockey and fantasy football. He even credits surfing as a key component in getting his arm to big-league strength. "And we all love that mustache," joked Gonzalez.

APS Director of Athlete Relations, Evan Brennan, had this to say in regards to Balester and his arrival at APS, "I was just really pleased to see how excited and enthusiastic Collin was about coming on board through the entire process. It speaks well to what we are doing here and that our all-natural supplementation message is resonating well with people. Collin's a key component to what we are doing now, and we hope to be able to promote in the future."
