NORFOLK, ENGLAND, August 28, 2010 (Press-News.org) People looking to explore some of the region's wild landscape while staying in Norfolk hotels could attend a forthcoming event at the Holkham National Nature Reserve.
On Wednesday September 29th, a guided walk led by experts from Natural England will be taking place at the centre.
Starting at 10:00 BST, the event will offer a chance to enjoy stunning views of the reserve and see a diverse range of wildlife in its natural habitat.
Described by its official website as "somewhere to catch your breath in a busy world", Holkham is arguably the most dramatic of Norfolk's many conservation areas.
The landscape includes sand dunes, sand flats, marshes and mixed woodland, creating a variety of habitats in which rare animal species are able to flourish.
Stretching from Burnham Norton in the west to Blakeney in the east, the reserve spreads across 4,000 hectares and its three car parks are linked by the Norfolk Coast Path.
The walk, which starts from the Lady Anne's Drive car park, covers fairly gently terrain and lasts about two hours.
People are asked to book a place before attending and there is a suggested donation of GBP2.
For more information on this event, visit the Holkham National Nature Reserve website or contact the organisers on 07825 377652.
