SPRINGBORO, OH, November 21, 2010 (Press-News.org) Komodo Laboratories LLC announced today the new release of their network inventory software. NEWT Professional is a tool for performing PC auditing and asset management. It returns an expansive range of configuration information about computer hardware and software from networked computers. The software also provides several methods to compare or view the resultant data.
NEWT Professional now scans up to 50 times faster than previous versions, collecting data from 100 computers in 5 minutes. New proprietary multithreaded scanning technology improves reliability of the returned data, nearly eliminating WMI and remote registry errors. The new method also lowers bandwidth usage, improving scanning of computers connected through the Internet and wide-area networks.
"We believe NEWT Pro can be a valuable asset for IT professionals to perform everyday network audits," says Elizabeth Roth, head of sales for Komodo Labs. "We're proud of the improvements we've made so far, reducing the time needed for inventorying from hours to just minutes."
For a limited time, Komodo Labs is offering a Free Lifetime Upgrade promotion. NEWT Professional is also always free to use to scan up to 25 machines without registration. Now an additional 25 nodes are added free to each license as well.
