FARMINGTON HILLS, MI, August 28, 2010 (Press-News.org) The Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), has announced that Gary L. Riedlinger, CPA, PFS has been elected as a new member of its board of directors for the 2010-2011 season. The announcement was made by MACPA President and CEO Peggy Dzierzawski, CAE.
Riedlinger is a principal at Yeo & Yeo CPAs & Business Consultants in Saginaw. A practicing CPA since 1978, he specializes in individual and corporate income tax and estate planning services; tax planning; compliance; tax minimization and disclosures; federal and state tax legislation; local, state and international tax; tax analysis and the Michigan Business Tax (MBT).
Before joining Yeo & Yeo, he spent 13 years with Deloitte in Michigan, three years at Price WaterhouseCoopers in Boston and 15 years at regional accounting firms. He frequently discusses taxes and the MBT at seminars and is a published author of tax articles.
In addition to his new board position, Riedlinger is on the MACPA Federal Tax Task Force and State and Local Tax Task Force. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Northeastern Michigan Estate Planning Council.
The Essexville resident serves on the board of directors of the East Shoreline chapter of the American Red Cross; and is a member of the Bay City Rotary Club. He served on the Bay City United Way 2004 and 2005 campaign cabinets and on the Saginaw Valley State University Foundation Professional Advisory Committee
Riedlinger received a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University, with highest honors, in 1974. He received the MACPA Paton Award for the November 1975 exam.
