DUSSELDORF, GERMANY, November 24, 2010 (Press-News.org) One of the world's best-loved musicals can be seen at the Capitol Theatre in Dusseldorf over the next few months.
From November 16th 2010 to January 23rd 2011, the venue will host a new version of Grease.
The famous American high school love story, written by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, has thrilled audiences ever since its first performance at a Chicago theatre in 1971.
Based on Jacobs' own experiences as an adolescent, Grease became a huge hit around the world thanks to its fresh take on love, infatuation, friendship and teenage rebellion.
Coupled with classic songs such as Summer Nights, Those Magic Changes, Greased Lightnin' and We Go Together, the universal themes of the production ensure it continues to appeal to younger generations.
"We are delighted to present our audience with the most successful and popular musical in Dusseldorf," said Maik Klokow, managing partner of show organiser More! Entertainment.
Dusseldorf hotel guests who want to see Sandy and Danny's tumultuous romance played out on stage once more can buy tickets online, with prices ranging from EUR19.90 to EUR79.90 (GBP16.90 to GBP68.10) plus booking fee.
Performances will take place at 19:30 local time on Tuesdays, 18:30 on Wednesdays and Thursdays and 19:30 on Fridays.
Saturdays and Sundays will feature two shows each, with the matinee beginning at 15:00 on Saturdays and 14:00 on Sundays.
Grease last appeared on stage in the German city back in 1996, so local residents will no doubt be pleased to see the musical return for another extended run.
For more information on this event, visit the Capitol Theatre website or contact the venue on (+49) 0180 51 52 530.
