The former Mock the Week favourite has given guests at Liverpool hotels a taste of what is to come by calling his tour I Would Happily Punch Every One Of You In The Face.
It would be a huge understatement to say that Boyle's humour is risque, but he is also widely acclaimed for his talent, with the Edinburgh Evening News lavishing praise on him recently.
"You can forgive Frankie Boyle's confidence and his apparent belief that he is really that good. That is simply because he is," noted the newspaper.
An indication of his popularity is that his first DVD Frankie Boyle Live became the second-fastest ever selling debut stand-up release, with 16,000 copies of the recording being sold on the opening day.
Tickets for his show in Liverpool cost GBP28.50, although attendees must be over 16 years old.
Another comedian lined up to perform at the venue in December is north-west funnyman John Bishop, who recently hosted an episode of Have I Got News For You.
