World's first solution for web testing of Flash, Flex and Silverlight applets with Image Recognition

World's first solution for web testing of Flash, Flex and Silverlight applets with Image Recognition. It allows you to test website easily. Used for web scraping and transaction website monitoring for rich internet applications (RIA).

2010-08-28
HEIDELBERG, GERMANY, August 28, 2010 (Press-News.org) iOpus, a provider of cost effective, cutting edge browser utilities that are both powerful and easy to use, announced this week that the latest version of the iMacros tool will be available beginning today at the Microsoft Mix08 conference in Las Vegas.

The new version includes DirectScreen and Image Recognition Technology with full support for in-browser web testing of Silverlight applets. This includes simulating mouse-over and a drag & drop functions, a task where other web testing software fails.

The Image Recognition allows you to automate and test web sites using images instead of cumbersome X/Y coordinates. It relies only upon the images that are rendered in the browser, regardless of the technology that created them. Simply give the software information about a button or an image, and you can use the button in your macro commands. The program will find and click the button, even if it is in a different location or has changed colors.

iOpus markets a family of HTML-based web macro recorders that run on the Windows desktop or server, and automate all web-related tasks.

- The PRO Edition features an easy-to-use command line interface, batch file support, and the ability to do web site response time measurements. The PRO Edition can switch between different web pages automatically with its tabbed browser interface.

- The Scripting Edition is designed for use by web professionals and people responsible for web site testing. Performing functions normally found in applications costing thousands of dollars, the Scripting Edition is an affordable alternative to big name capture/replay testing tools. It includes all of the functionality of the PRO Edition, plus an easy-to-use scripting interface that extends the popular Windows Scripting Host with the ability to replay iMacros and extract web page data. Users can also access this interface from Visual Basic, Excel, Access, Perl, the new Microsoft .NET languages, or any other Windows programming language. Users can work in their favorite development environment and do not have to learn yet another proprietary programming language. The Scripting Edition includes the free Internet Macro Player, so scripts and macros can be provided to third parties at no extra charge.

Tests can be recorded and replayed in the iMacros Browser, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome.

iOpus iMacros runs on XP, Windows 2003, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 2008 server. Other versions also support Linux and Mac OSX.

iOpus iMacros PRO Edition costs $199, and the Scripting Edition is priced at $499 for a single user license. Enterprise bundles and site licenses are available. You can purchase iMacros securely online at http://www.iOpus.com, or download a free 30-day trial version from the same address.
