Medical display vendor to showcase Matrox Xenia Pro display controller boards powering high-resolution Totoku displays at RSNA 2010

2010-11-25
MONTREAL, CANADA, November 25, 2010 (Press-News.org) Matrox Graphics Inc. today announced that U.S. Electronics, Inc. (USEI) is now selling Matrox Xenia and Xenia Pro display controller boards and recommends the feature-rich Xenia Series triple-monitor controller boards for medical imaging professionals who are upgrading current or deploying new PACS and Mammography workstations. RSNA attendees are encouraged to stop by USEI booth # 3813 (Hall A, South Building, McCormick Place), from November 28-December 3, to witness Matrox Xenia Series powering 3MP and 5MP displays in a mammography workstation.

"The Matrox Xenia and Xenia Pro boards are excellent choices for driving DICOM-compliant color and grayscale medical displays across a wide range of resolutions with a single, unified driver for easy deployment," says Madhu Reddy, President of U.S. Electronics Inc. "We are very pleased with Matrox's quick response to support the Windows 7 OS via their latest drivers, as many of our customers are now converting their PACS Viewers to operate under this environment."

"Matrox is pleased to continue its longstanding partnership with USEI through this new PACS and mammography upgrade and deployment program," said George Rigas, Business Development Manager for Medical Imaging, Matrox Graphics Inc. "This initiative provides hospitals and clinics with a valuable opportunity to upgrade existing Windows XP or Vista systems and transition to a leading-edge, Windows 7 OS while allowing their radiologists to benefit from an advanced workstation capable of supporting the latest applications across all Windows OS platforms."

Matrox Xenia Series provides triple digital display support from a single slot PCI Express board including forward- and backward-compatibility with a broad range of monitors and projectors for the utmost flexibility. Pristine image quality at resolutions ranging up to 8MP, new technology to enable optimum display calibration (via Matrox DLC and 8/10/13-bit gamma LUTs), and Matrox Power Desk Zoom functionality enabling replication of any portion of a dual display desktop onto a single projector are also key benefits. 1GB of on-board memory for smooth, reliable performance boosts overall productivity, facilitating efficient diagnosis and reporting by medical imaging professionals on any known and approved display.
