HighOrbit Streamlines Workflow Automation for Apto Solutions

Purchase Requisitions and Work Order Requests Centralized and Tracked with HighOrbit Process Management

2010-12-04
SAINT LOUIS, MO, December 04, 2010 (Press-News.org) When it comes to tracking processes, many organizations are challenged with passing along paperwork, making sure the right emails are forwarded to the right people, and that all involved are working with correct information. Apto Solutions found itself in this situation, and called upon HighOrbit Corporation, a provider of cost-effective BPM solutions, to help them implement an effective workflow system to eliminate the uncertainties and enhance the processing of information for the firm's purchase requisitions and work order requests.

Prior to implementing HighOrbit, Apto's purchase requisitions and work order requests were processed via email - a system that risked delays in sharing information, and endangered the consistency and accuracy of information being shared. The firm was looking to move this communication into a simple, yet formalized process that would keep all parties involved in the loop, and assign the necessary controls needed for their ISO process.

HighOrbit met Apto's needs, and was chosen for its cost effectiveness, ease-of-use, and flexibility. Apto's Compliance Officer, Darrell Thirkield said, "HighOrbit allowed us to house all of the information in one location, design the process initiation form to ensure the necessary information was obtained up-front, and assign authorization levels. Plus, we didn't have to hire a programmer at a ridiculous hourly rate to get the system up and running."

According to Thirkield, Apto was able to implement the system quickly and with little training due to the fast response time and flexibility of HighOrbit's Process Professionals. Currently, Apto has 40 users on HighOrbit, and expects the number to increase in the near future.

"From the beginning, HighOrbit has committed itself to providing solutions for managing processes, providing all the versatility and power of a high-priced program into a system that can be implemented in any organization, regardless of budget or skill level," said HighOrbit's Brian Dwyer.

According to Dwyer, the company's business process management solution was developed to give organizations the power to control their processes. The system's built-in versatility allows HighOrbit to be applied to virtually all organizations and all business processes. Its simplicity allows quick implementation with little or no guidance. Hosted applications start at just $75 per month, with in-house installations also available.

Apto Solutions offers comprehensive IT asset recovery and processing services, including secure reverse logistics, data sanitization, testing, repair, redeployment, remarketing and responsible recycling. Founded in 2001, the firm serves clients throughout the world, and has an extensive, qualified partner network in Europe, Asia and South American. Apto Solutions is headquartered in Atlanta, GA, and recently opened a 40,000 square foot facility in Milpitas, CA. An additional facility is planned for Spring of 2011 in Austin, TX.

HighOrbit Corporation is a software development company located in St. Louis.
