MEDecision Ranked 17th on the Central Penn Business Journal List of Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania

MEDecision, Inc., a leading provider of collaborative healthcare management solutions, has placed 17th on the Central Penn Business Journal list of the 100 Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania for 2010. The award marks the second consecutive year MEDecision has received the honor which reflects the company's continued ability to create a positive and rewarding workplace and attract hardworking and talented employees.

Carl Smith, MEDecision executive vice president and chief financial officer, and Susan Vitiello, director of human resources, received the award on the company's behalf on Tuesday evening at a reception at the Lancaster County Convention Center. Last year, MEDecision ranked 33rd in the medium-sized category for companies with less than 250 employees. This year, the company was recognized for its distinctions within the large-sized company category for companies with more than 250 employees.

The Best Places to Work in PA program is a public/private partnership between Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, and the Central Penn Business Journal. It was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places to be employed in Pennsylvania, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses.

Companies from across the state entered the evaluation process to be considered as one of the 100 Best Places to Work in PA. To determine final rankings, each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics were evaluated, and employees were surveyed to measure the employee experience.
