BARCELONA, SPAIN, December 05, 2010 (Press-News.org) The Girbau Group from Osona (Barcelona) celebrated on Thursday, 11 November, the 15th anniversary of U.S. subsidiary, Continental Girbau Inc., whose capital is held 100 percent by the Girbau family. Although Continental Girbau - which serves North America - is now 15 years old, Girbau has sold commercial laundry equipment in North America for the last 30 years.
The anniversary celebration was held in the scenic arts center "L´Atlàntida" in Vic, Osona. The event, which included staff and distributors of Continental Girbau, as well as key people from Girbau's headquarters, reflected on the challenges and successes of Continental Girbau's first 15 years.
The current president of the U.S. subsidiary, Mike Floyd, looked to the future of Continental Girbau with optimism. "Our people, our products, our team and the Girbau family are special. With so many special people, special things can be done," he said.
Moreover, the presidents of the Girbau group, Mercè Girbau and Pere Girbau Pous, appreciated the effort made by Continental Girbau and encouraged the team to carry on with the same policy initiated a year ago; continued growth in high-volume laundry sectors, including hotel chains, hospitals and industrial laundries.
The presidents affirmed that Continental Girbau, as the North American branch, is one example of Girbau's many international successes; which is among the reasons Girbau continues to move forward with the latest openings of the branches in India and Italy.
