R. Thomas Roe's second novel, "Palm Beach Gold", follows attorney Jake Fox, who, after working in a large law firm, realizes he has lost something of himself. He decides to strike out on his own in Palm Beach, Florida where he meets a young couple with a growing gold coin business. When the husband suddenly dies in an airplane accident, Jake lands the biggest case of his life. Since Jake is now out on his own, he has to mortgage everything in order to finance the case and bet that it is a winner. The problem: would his principles survive? His client, the grieving widow, is a knockout, but there is more inside her ambitious mind than meets the eye.
