PARIS, FRANCE, December 11, 2010 (Press-News.org) An exhibition devoted to the work of celebrated filmmaker Larry Clark will be available for travellers to view in Paris until January 2nd 2011.
The director is also a talented photographer and has been producing pieces using this medium for many years.
While many guests at Paris hotels may be more familiar with films such as Kids and Bully - both acclaimed for their stark and shocking view of modern teenagers - but he has a significant back catalogue of images.
Some of these are stills from his films, which have starred actresses such as Bijou Phillips and Chloe Sevigny, but others are simply pictures captured by Clark, who the venue described as having haunted the US with his quest for the naked truth.
"Organised in close collaboration with Clark himself, the exhibition sums up a fifty-year oeuvre with over 200 original prints, most shown here for the first time," explained the organisers.
Fans of one of his most recent productions - Wassup Rockers - may be especially to head to the Musee d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris (MaM) from their nearby accommodation such as the Avia Hotel Paris, since the display shows series of pictures chronicling the life of the main character of the film Jonathan Velasquez.
Attendees must be 18 years old or over, with admission costing EUR5 (GBP4.25).
The building is open from 10:00 to 18:00 local time from Tuesdays to Sundays, with late opening on Thursdays until 22:00.
For more information on this event, visit the MaM website or contact the venue on 0844 8000 400.
